New Realm Brewing may have just opened in January, but it already needs more capacity, a spokeswoman for the Atlanta brewery said in an email Thursday.
So when Green Flash Brewing Company decided to abandon its Virginia Beach brewery, New Realm swooped in to buy the equipment.
The 50-barrel brewing system Green Flash was using will help New Realm expand, co-founder and CEO Carey Falcone said in a press release Thursday. But the company was mum on where it might use that equipment.
Miller Group CEO Jerry Miller, who owns the 58,000-square-foot facility on General Booth Blvd. where Green Flash was set up, said Wednesday he's been working on a lease with New Realm. The brewer, however, declined to comment on the equipment's destination or the financial details of the sale.
