BALTIMORE, MD and IRVINE, CA (6/10/18)
The Traffic Group, Inc.’s (TTG) Renata Haberkam will be a featured speaker at the National Travel Monitoring Exposition and Conference (NaTMEC), taking place June 10-13 in Irvine, California. The conference is hosted by the Pacific Southwest Region University Transportation Center.

The Traffic Group is one of the nation’s leading traffic engineering and transportation planning firms. As such, Haberkam’s presentation will discuss driverless vehicles, which will be hitting the nation’s highways in the not-so-distant future. She will also touch upon the critical need to begin planning for this technology, as many state and local governments are woefully unprepared.

Haberkam is the Director of Business Development and Federal Contracting Liaison at The Traffic Group. She manages the firm’s marketing efforts and strategies, and oversees the preparation of proposals for The Traffic Group’s two principal departments and heads the firm’s public relations program.

She spends much of her time speaking throughout the U.S. on the topics of self-driving vehicles, Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) systems, traffic calming measures and automated/mechanical parking systems.

The biennial NaTMEC provides travel monitoring professionals and transportation data users from around the world opportunities to share knowledge and good practices, exchange ideas, revisit fundamental concepts, learn new processes, procedures and techniques, and see the latest advancements in policy, technology, and equipment.
