The global law firm Jones Day today announced that Peter D. Laun, a partner in the Firm's Insurance Recovery Practice, as well as a member of the Firm's construction team, has relocated to Jones Day's Dallas Office. He was previously based in the Firm's Pittsburgh Office.

Mr. Laun focuses on representing clients in insurance coverage, construction, and commercial disputes. He has recovered more than $1.3 billion for Firm clients as a plaintiff, and has successfully defended commercial claims as large as $1.6 billion. Mr. Laun has represented clients in litigation in more than 20 federal and state courts in the U.S., as well as in agency proceedings and arbitrations. In addition, he has handled multiple disputes in foreign countries, including Latin America, the United Kingdom, Europe, and Bermuda.

As one focus of his practice, Mr. Laun represents policyholders in insurance coverage matters.

Mr. Laun has litigated and arbitrated against virtually all major U.S. and non-U.S. insurers, and has represented clients in disputes involving multiple types of insurance policies, including property, directors and officers, errors/omissions, general liability, employment, environmental, and workers compensation. Peter also has extensive experience in property damage and business interruption claims in the U.S. and abroad, as well as reinsurance claims.
