The Associated: Jewish Community Federation of Baltimore announced today that, it reached its fundraising goal of $31 million for Fiscal Year 2018. In addition, the organization raised an additional $21.4 million from endowments, special grants for innovative programming and state and government grants for a total of more than $52 million dollars available to the community.

These funds will be invested in programs that feed, shelter, counsel, engage and inspire Jews in Baltimore, Israel and around the world. The Associated also supports organizations that share its commitment to caring for families in crisis, combatting anti-Semitism and fostering meaningful connections to the global community.

The Annual Campaign was launched in August 2017 under the leadership of Robb Cohen, 2018 Campaign Chair and Wendy Miller, Women’s Campaign Chair. On October 29, The Associated held its signature fundraising event, Super Sunday, when more than $1.2 million was raised.

Marc B. Terrill, president of The Associated, thanked Mr. Cohen and Mrs. Miller, along with donors, campaigners and Associated professional staff.

“Leadership plays a critical role in ensuring the success of the Annual Campaign and reaching this remarkable achievement. The funds ensuring that the urgent needs of today are addressed and our aspirations for tomorrow can be realized,” Terrill said.

Linda A. Hurwitz, Chair of the Board, also commended the work of the Campaign leadership. “The achievement of the Annual Campaign is not just a number, it is the funder of countless programs offered by The Associated system of agencies. I am proud that we reached this milestone as a community.”
