Aida Bistro & Wine Bar, a COPT tenant in Columbia Gateway Business and Innovation Center, has been selected by The Daily Meal as one of America’s “150 Best Bars in America” in 2018.

TheDailyMeal.com, a website devoted to “all things food and drink,” highlighted Aida for serving “Italian food with fresh locally-sourced ingredients,” and said that the restaurant “pairs excellent wine with an indulgent culinary experience.”

Proprietors Joe and Mary Barbera opened Aida Bistro in Columbia Gateway in 2002, starting with original recipes that Joe’s mother (Aida) brought from her family in Italy. In the 16 years since then, they have added many dishes, including extensive gluten-free and vegetarian options.

From its start, Aida Bistro has worked with local farmers and producers to enable dishes with ingredients that are straight from local farms. The restaurant has received honors and recognition from area diners for best chef, server, bartender, Italian food, wine list, dessert and seafood.

Aida Bistro is proud of its Wines on Tap system, featuring 30 wines, with many of the wines changing monthly. Each of the Wines on Tap may be sampled in 3 oz. tasting pours.

The restaurant features an outstanding happy hour, friendly bar, covered outdoor patio dining, and a private room for parties for up to 40 people.
