Former Richmond Fed President To Join VCU Business School

Former Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond Presidnet Jeffrey Lacker will become an economics professor at the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Business this fall.

Lacker, who led the Richmond Fed from 2004 to 2017, will become a professor on Aug. 16.

“We’re delighted and very fortunate to have someone of Jeff Lacker’s caliber joining our talented colleagues in economics,” Ed Grier, dean of the VCU School of Business, said in a statement. “I look forward to his work with both undergraduate and master’s students.”

Lacker resigned from the Richmond Fed in April 2017 after he revealed he inadvertently confirmed the accuracy of information given to a Medley Global Advisors analyst.
