Nikita Rao
TH Real Estate, an affiliate of Nuveen (the investment management arm of TIAA), hired Nikita Rao as a portfolio manager for its multifamily housing sector strategy. In this role, Nikita will help to oversee a $10 billion platform in the U.S. housing sector.Working from TH Real Estate’s Washington, DC office, Nikita will report to Rahul Idnani, Global COO and Head of Portfolio Management at TH Real Estate, and work closely with Jay Martha, who is the firm’s multifamily sector head.

Before joining TH Real Estate, Nikita worked at Federal Capital Partners (FCP), where she led portfolio management and fundraising/investor relations for their series of value-add multifamily funds and [a] core-plus multifamily separate account. During her time at FCP, she was also responsible for asset management, creating and implementing FCP's proprietary asset management system and leading their development management group. With over 15 years of real estate investment experience, Nikita has focused on multifamily asset management and development at FCP and The Carlyle Group.
With over $114 billion in assets under management globally, TH Real Estate manages approximately $10 billion of multifamily housing assets in the United States, focusing on rental housing investments in demand-driven markets. TH Real Estate’s total apartment portfolio in the United States consists of 215 investments across 59 markets comprising both equity and debt investments. Multifamily housing has been a key focus of the firm in the United States for over two decades.
