RICHMOND, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Hunton Andrews Kurth LLP is proud to announce Vicki O. Tucker has begun a one-year term as chair of the American Bar Association’s Business Law Section.

Tucker is the third Hunton Andrews Kurth lawyer to head the ABA’s Business Law Section, joining George Gibson (1959-60) and George Freeman (1990-91), and she is the first woman from the firm to serve in this role.

The Business Law Section is one of the largest ABA groups, with nearly 50,000 members and approximately 60 committees covering a broad range of business practice areas and interests, including commercial and consumer finance, corporate and securities laws, commercial litigation, professional responsibility and diversity and inclusion, among others. An active Business Law Section member for many years, Tucker most recently completed a term as its chair-elect and previously served as vice chair, secretary and a member of its Council, in addition to other section leadership roles.

Tucker serves as counsel in Hunton Andrews Kurth’s Richmond office. Her practice focuses on secondary market transactions involving residential mortgage loans and mortgage servicing rights, representing banks, servicers and others on hundreds of transactions.
