BC&E Elects New Executive Committee and Three New Directors

The Building Congress & Exchange (BC&E) elected a new Executive Committee and three new directors, who all begin their new roles and terms on January 1, 2019.

The members of the 2019 Executive Committee are President Marty Copsey, MacKenzie Contracting Company, LLC; President-Elect Wayne Matheu, Enterprise Electric Company; Vice President Amy Mercurio, Johns Hopkins University Facilities & Real Estate; Treasurer Michael Martin, Live Green Landscape Associates, LLC and Secretary Ted Bowes, Excell Concrete Construction.

The three new directors, each serving a three-year term, are Jonathan Goetz, Oak Contracting; Jeff Hossfeld, The Whiting-Turner Contracting Company and Fred Marino, Design Collective, Inc.

The new directors join board members Joe Bailey, Lewis Contractors; Dave Brodie, Wohlsen Construction Company; Marianne Crampton, MK Consulting Engineers, LLC; Tom Iacoboni, Iacoboni Site Specialists, Inc.; Trey Kistler, G.E. Tignall& Company, Inc.; Rick Scheetz, Gray & Son/Maryland Paving Management, Inc. and Brian Young, Martin Marietta.

Former BC&E President John Prusak of Johnson Controls and Directors Curtis Dalsimer of JC Porter Construction and R. Nelson Oster of HMS Insurance Associates, Inc. will retire from the board at the end of the year.

In addition, the BC&E Board approved two new board members to the Building Congress & Exchange Foundation (BC&EF) Taylor Classen of DACG Commercial and Amy Mercurio, Johns Hopkins University Facilities & Real Estate. The BC&E Board also approved John Lawrence of The Whiting-Turner Contracting Company as Secretary for a second term. Retiring BC&EF President Marty Copsey of MacKenzie Contracting Company, LLC will remain on the board for another year. They join President Wayne Matheu, Enterprise Electric; Treasurer Ricky Venters, Johns Hopkins University Facilities & Real Estate and Directors JeanMarie Krygowski, Harford Community College; Doug McGinnis, Bunting Door & Hardware Co., Inc. and Ryan Walsh, Walls & Ceilings, Inc.

BC&EF Directors Ed Joffe, The Whiting-Turner Contracting Company and Jim Stahl, Ariosa& Company will retire from the board at the end of the year.
