Lincoln Property Company was proud to, once again, host the Gifts for the Homeless annual clothing drive at 2300 N Street, NW. Gifts for the Homeless and Lincoln Property Company volunteers coordinated with vendors and partners to donate boxes of clothing that had been collected between November 30, 2018 to December 2, 2018. The clothing was donated to over 50 homeless shelters within the Washington, D.C., Virginia, and Maryland metropolitan areas.
GFTH and dozens of their volunteers received, sorted and packaged clothing donations at 2300 N Street, NW. Lincoln Property Company’s 2300 N Street, NW management team assisted with the coordination, and provided ample space and parking for this worthy cause. Hakan Ilhan, who will be opening his new restaurant concept in the Spring of 2019 at 2300 N Street, NW generously offered his space within the building for the event. Multiple law firms participated in the event, including a band composed of local lawyers named, “The Unnamed Party Band” that entertained volunteers, creating a festive atmosphere.

Gifts for the Homeless (GFTH) is an all-volunteer nonprofit organization with no paid staff. They rely solely on Board, Leadership Council, and volunteers to fulfill their mission. GFTH is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization, and 100% of every dollar they receive from public donations is used to purchase essential winter clothing and items to keep the homeless in D.C. warmer during the winter months.
