Mike Bordick Weighs In On Potential MLB Rule Changes

Major League Baseball and the MLB Players Association have reportedly discussed several rules changes this offseason. Former Baltimore Orioles shortstop and current MASN analyst Mike Bordick shared his thoughts on some of those potential changes on Glenn Clark Radio Feb. 7.

Universal Designated Hitter

The American League is currently the only league with a designated hitter. The National League opts for pitchers to bat, which creates a significant difference in playing style and strategy between the two leagues. This rule would make the NL adopt the designated hitter, bringing both leagues in line.
