DLA Piper is representing OMRON Corp. in the ¥100 billion (US$893 million) sale of its automotive electronics division, OMRON Automotive Electronics Co. Ltd., to Nidec Corp., headquartered in Kyoto, Japan.

OMRON Automotive Electronics engages in research and development, manufacturing and sales of automotive electronics products as a subsidiary of OMRON Group. The acquisition, which is expected to close in October, will allow Nidec to provide a full spectrum of sensors required for autonomous driving in the future.
