Home runs continue at a record pace, as teams are 1.31 per game which would break the record set in 2017 of 1.26 per team per game. Strikeouts continue to rise as well; baseball is on pace to set a record high for the 11th consecutive season.
What this means for fantasy owners is we have to act accordingly if we are behind in any of these categories. The season is only a month old so there's no need to panic, but if you are way behind in home runs and/or strikeouts you have to get a little more aggressive than usual.
As for the waiver wire, some of the targets we add are temporary fixes that could turn into long-term help, as I have mentioned plenty of times. I think the following names are more short term, but it will be a bonus if they can be something more.
