Richard Watson
Neighbor Ride, which provides volunteer-based transportation to seniors in Howard County, named Richard Watson president of the board of directors. The organization also named additional board officers and added two members.
Watson has been a real estate agent with Long & Foster Real Estate serving Howard County and the Baltimore-Washington corridor for more than 26 years. A member of the Long & Foster Luxury Alliance, he was named a Top Producer in the Columbia office four times and has ranked among the top five Long & Foster agents in the Baltimore-Pennsylvania region. Watson previously served as president of Santa Claus Anonymous and donated his services to help Habitat for Humanity acquire two properties in Howard County.
In addition to Watson, Neighbor Ride announced new board officers and members:
- Jackie Breeden was named vice president. A longtime Howard County resident and volunteer, Breeden spent most of her professional career in marketing and public relations positions for nonprofit and health care-related organizations. She graduated from Leadership Howard County’s Leadership Premier program in 2018.
- Louis Hutt III was named treasurer. Hutt is a certified public accountant and serves as the chief operating officer for The Hutt Company in Columbia. His responsibilities include individual tax planning, preparation and resolving complex tax cases. He lives in Ellicott City.
- Karen Trudel was named secretary and joins the board this year. Trudel has more than 20 years of experience in consulting and executive leadership in health care information technology and has held leadership positions in offices at the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. She lives in Ellicott City.
- Mike Levin joins the board this year. Levin practices civil litigation and provides consulting services. He was a senior partner at a law firm in Columbia for more than 25 years, where he litigated civil cases throughout Maryland and Washington, D.C. He lives in Ellicott City.
- Alice Ford joins the board this year. She serves as lead pastor of Glenelg United Methodist Church. She has also pastored churches in New York and Tennessee, held leadership positions in denominational committees and volunteered for community causes for more than 35 years. She lives in Laurel.
Neighbor Ride enhances the health and quality of life for Howard County’s seniors by providing the comfort and peace of mind of affordable, passenger-focused transportation services through a reliable, volunteer-based system.
