Alarm.com is launching a tech apprenticeship program with support from the GO Virginia initiative.
Launched in 2003, Alarm.com is a publicly traded tech company based in Vienna that provides cloud-based home monitoring services. GO Virginia is an economic development initiative that supports programs working to prepare people for high-paying jobs. This apprenticeship program is the first of its kind supported by the statewide initiative.
The year-long apprenticeship will encompass a 10-week technical training at Northern Virginia Community College (NOVA) and a nine-month job training portion with Alarm.com. Selected apprentices will receive compensation including full benefits and earn certifications during the duration of the program.
