Wendy Feldman Block and Corporate Managing Director David Cornbrooks represented NGA in the lease negotiations.
“NGA set out to reimagine its working environment to create a modern and flexible office. The renovation of the space will better align with the needs of today’s workforce. It will offer a more impactful environment to showcase NGA’s core mission of service to its members including State Governors, partners, and other visitors. The building’s proximity to Capitol Hill and the co-tenant offices of over 25 U.S. states and territories were important aspects for NGA remaining at 400 North Capitol Street,” said Feldman Block.
The renovated workspace will include ample natural light and scenic views, interior glass-fronted offices, a centralized café for improved interaction and cohesion, and a wider variety of collaborative spaces for NGA’s nearly 120 employees.
“We are looking forward to having a modern, efficient and collaborative work environment for our members and employees,” said LeAnne Wilson, NGA chief operating officer. “NGA recently brought on a new senior leadership team to strengthen the organization’s service to governors, and our new offices will create an environment for our success well into the future.”
Located steps away from Union Station, the Capitol and Senate and House offices, the Hall of States building is also home to many of Washington's major media and government relations offices.
