Hotel Revival to Host International Women’s Day Fundraiser for My Sister’s Place Women’s Center

3/2/20

Proceeds from March 8 event to support the Baltimore resource center for women and children experiencing homelessness and poverty

Honor your girlfriends, grandmothers, gal pals and all the ladies in your life on Sunday, March 8 in celebration of International Women’s Day. Hotel Revival is, once again, commemorating the day by hosting a fundraising effort to support My Sister’s PlaceWomen’sCenter, a resource center that provides three meals a day and access to services such as case management, education, and job training to women and their children in need in Baltimore City.

“The My Sister’s Place Women’s Center is doing incredible work for women and children right in our community,” said Donte Johnson, general manager at Hotel Revival. “Come out, toast the women in your life and support a great organization—all are welcome.”

Throughout the daylong fundraiser, the hotel will donate a percentage of all food and beverage purchases at Topside – from 8 a.m.-10 p.m. – and proceeds from the sales of New Vintage by Sam's #HealingHardware jewelry line, created by Sam Smith, who will be onsite from 12-6 p.m., will also be donated. In addition, Knits, Soy and Metal (KSM Candle Co.) will be raffling a candle making workshop for two throughout the daylong fundraising event, with 100 percent of raffle sales going to the nonprofit. Topside will also offer $5 wine specials to all women guests.

Leading up to the March 8 event, Topside will donate $2 from each purchase of its "Persistent Grace” specialty cocktail ($15) to My Sister’s Place Women’s Center. The whiskey-infused cocktail, created by one of the only female bartenders at Topside, Anna Welker, who also crafted the restaurant’s spirit-free cocktail menu which launched during the hotel’s Dry January initiative, will be available March 2-8. The cocktail calls for Widow Jane whiskey and Republic Restoratives’ apple brandy– both are spirits made by women-owned distilleries.

Those interested in making a reservation at Topside can visit https://www.jdvhotels.com/hotels/maryland/baltimore/hotel-revival-baltimore/dining/topside or call (410) 727-0065.
