For the first time, Inc. Magazine has released a list of the most successful businesses around the Washington, D.C. Metropolitan area.

The inaugural ranking features 250 companies throughout the region—including 71 Maryland companies located from Westminster to Chestertown to Lexington Park, Md.

According to the Inc. 5000 series, the area’s fastest-growing private companies collectively made $6.5 billion last year, and, added more than 41,000 jobs in the Mid Atlantic region from 2016-2018. In Maryland alone, more than 60 companies experienced revenue growth of 100+ percent during the two-year period.
