The Administrative Office of the United States Courts (AOUSC) awarded Arlington-based Accenture Federal Services (AFS) a five-year blanket purchase agreement to modernize the client case-management system of the U.S. Probation and Pretrial Services (PPS) system, the company announced Monday.

PPS works to carry out probation and pretrial service functions in U.S. district courts. Under the agreement, AFS will design, integrate, deploy and support a new cloud-based client case-management system on a software-as-a-service platform that would allow 9,000 PPS employees to work anywhere in the U.S.

“Accenture Federal Service is proud to transition PPS to a new user experience and technical functionality that will better support AOUSC as it provides mission-critical services to reduce recidivism and to protect our communities,” Jenna O’Steen, AFS managing director, who leads the company’s justice portfolio, said in a statement.
