
Demand for delivery has more than doubled since the start of the pandemic last year — with, at best, only mixed results for local restaurants, stores and delivery people. But a D.C.-based mainstay is looking to change that: The owners of longtime D.C. dive-bar Ivy and Coney have launched DC to GoGo, a regional delivery app that promises better wages to delivery people and lower fees to participating shops. (No word whether they also promise to keep your 2 a.m. jumbo-slice delivery a secret.)
It’s a way to keep your dollars local while you proofread your resume or work through the latest cover letter.
