Middleburg Communities announces Stephen Burch as Chief Accounting Officer, where he will have overall responsibility for accounting operations, including accounts payable, payroll, corporate accounting and real estate accounting.

Prior to joining Middleburg, Mr. Burch held various roles at WashREIT (NYSE: WRE), most recently serving as Controller, where he had primary oversight of corporate accounting, real estate accounting, financial reporting, technical accounting, income tax and REIT compliance. Prior to joining WashREIT, he was a Manager in PricewaterhouseCoopers’s Financial Services Assurance practice and held various roles at PricewaterhouseCoopers from October 2008 to January 2016. Mr. Burch obtained a Master of Accounting from the College of Charleston, and a Bachelor of Science in Financial Management with a Minor in Accounting from Clemson University. Mr. Burch is a certified public accountant.
