NSC Hires Executive Team

3/1/21

Today, National Senior Campuses, Inc. (NSC) Board of Directors, governing body to the largest portfolio of continuing care retirement communities in the United States, hired Scott Sawicki as Executive Director and Dan Tyler as Finance Director to lead NSC’s next chapter of strategic growth initiatives. Both Sawicki and Tyler have tenured careers at NSC’s management company, Erickson Living.

NSC is responsible for governance and oversight of 16 Erickson Living-managed communities in 9 states. In partnership with Erickson Living, they work to ensure that the 22,000 residents of these communities enjoy exceptional value and opportunities.

Scott Sawicki will assume his role as the governing board’s executive director on March 1. “I am thrilled to lead NSC and help fulfill our mission of creating a home for life for as many seniors as possible,” says Sawicki. “I have worked alongside NSC for the last 15 years while at Erickson Living. I am confident that, together, we can enhance the lives of residents and employees and expand our ability to serve many more seniors in the coming decades. I am particularly interested in providing affordable senior housing options in unserved or underserved communities. I believe all seniors, regardless of where they came from or their financial means, should have the opportunity to live in a home of belonging, peace of mind, love and acceptance.”

On March 1, Dan Tyler will also join the NSC team as Finance Director. “For the last eight years, I have been a part of Erickson Living, most recently serving as Director of Financial Planning and Analysis. This experience has positioned me to provide similar expertise to NSC. I look forward to supporting various activities related to our mission and in accordance with the joint venture agreement formed between NSC and Erickson Living in 2020. With such a strong financial platform in place, I am excited to help the Board achieve our strategic initiatives, balancing mission and performance.”

Michelle Bohreer, Chair of NSC, is equally delighted about this next chapter of governance and growth for NSC. “We are enthusiastic to welcome two seasoned senior housing executives into our organization. Scott and Dan will help us execute on our vision of celebrating aging, while maintaining our focus on inclusion, innovation, and advocacy. We look forward to leveraging our strong financial foundation and governance model for the benefit of seniors and those that support them.”

Scott and Dan will join Diane Rotolo, who is currently Operations Director for National Senior Campuses.
