Skanska USA, one of the world’s leading construction and development firms, is pleased to announce that Darick Edmond has been promoted to senior vice president of operations for the Washington D.C. metro region. Edmond will focus on training, recruiting, development and advocating for the company's field leadership.

Edmond has worked in the engineering and construction industry for more than 31 years, the last five with Skanska. In this time, he has amassed knowledge through hands-on engagement in in all facets of operations, from training and recruiting, to business development. His work spans a variety of market sectors including residential, retail, mixed-use, education, federal, tenant fit-out and office-based building projects. Additionally, he served for 22 years in the Corps of Engineering under the Army National Guard and Reserves.

Darick has a Bachelor of Science degree in Building Construction Technology from Hampton University in Hampton, Virginia and a Master of Business Administration from Strayer University in Washington D.C.
