Universal Companies Expands Its Safety & Sanitation Essentials Program with New Barriers and Sanitation Station Products

3/17/21

Universal Companies, the ultimate spa and wellness resource, has expanded their selection of physical barriers and sanitation stations products. This collection is part of the first complete line of products and services specially curated for spas and salons, according to Universal Companies’ Chief Executive Officer, Karen Short.

The Universal Companies lineup includes a variety of guards and partitions, sanitation station products as well as table and face rest covers. Designed specifically for spa environments, the barrier protection was developed by licensed professionals. They allow spas to adhere to the new standards of cleanliness without compromising the spa experience, in both comfort and aesthetics, according to Short.

A full range of equipment and barrier products are available from UCo. Guards and partitions are designed for spa and salon professionals and offer protection during pedicure and manicure services, esthetic treatments, and in the lobby. Additional products include sneeze guards, mobile adjustable shields, full barrier shields, and protection walls.

Table and face rest covers are made specifically for treatment tables, and provide antimicrobial barriers that stand up to harsh disinfectants, protect non-washable layers, and extend the life of electric warmers. The new Sposh massage covers are completely waterproof and affordable enough to replace standard fitted sheets. In addition to being a highly protective barrier, this luxurious fabric is soft to the touch, without any distracting crinkly or rustling sounds.

Another essential protective piece of spa and salon equipment are the mobile Hi / Lo adjustable shields. These are designed to reduce the risk of contamination from aerosols and droplets and provide a barrier between salon professionals and clients. This mobile adjustable shield allows services that require close proximity to be performed more safely. It has 9" spacers that can be adjusted to the correct height to fit over nail tables, pedicure chairs, or other salon areas.

The latest sanitation station options include new stainless steel wipe dispensers, new bulk mask dispensers and bins, protection systems for PPE holders, hand sanitizer floor stands, and signage.

Universal’s Director of Product Development, Anna Bralley, who is also a licensed esthetician and a nail technician, heads up the launch. As a 13-year industry veteran she explains, “This is really ‘one-stop shopping’ for everything you need to help keep your staff and clients healthy. Specially curated for salon and spas, our extensive collection includes sanitation station equipment and barriers, plus resources to help you communicate precautions you’ve taken for your clients.”
