Rally to Support Montgomery County Nonprofits in FY18 County Budget

Nearly 300 leaders, staff and clients representing 130+ nonprofit organizations that provide essential county services to more than 500,000 residents are expected to gather for a rally on Monday, April 24, 2017 to reaffirm the significant impact made by the nonprofit sector in the lives of county residents. The rally will include a strong message to County leadership to ensure appropriate funding to the sector during the current FY18 budget process. Sufficient county funding is needed by nonprofits to ensure the county’s most vulnerable residents receive adequate levels of essential safety net services, including food, physical and mental healthcare, housing, employment, and legal services.
