The Roanoke Times will transfer its printing and inserting to sister newspaper locations in Virginia in early August.
Roanoke Times Publisher Terry Jamerson said the daily newspaper will be printed at The (Lynchburg) News & Advance. Printing of advance sections, as well as the assembly of advertising inserts for Roanoke, Lynchburg and some other newspapers printed in Lynchburg, will be moved to the Richmond Times-Dispatch. The (Lynchburg) News & Advance will continue to print its own product and handle its commercial printing customers’ needs.
“The production facility in Roanoke will close as a result of these moves,” Jamerson said.
