TEGNA Wins 10 National Edward R. Murrow Awards, Including Two for Excellence in Innovation

MCLEAN, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--RTNDA, the Radio Television Digital News Association, announced today that TEGNA Inc. (NYSE: TGNA) has won 10 National Edward R. Murrow Awards for excellence in local journalism. This includes three for KING in Seattle, WA and two for KTVB in Boise, ID. TEGNA won both local television Excellence in Innovation honors, with WXIA and the Atticus Team in Atlanta, GA winning in the large market category for the digital-first investigation “Selling Girls” and KTVB winning in the small market category. TEGNA won 9 National Murrow Awards in 2017 and this April, the company received 83 Regional Murrow Awards, the most in TEGNA’s history.
