Chris LaMartina

We’re thrilled to announce the addition of Chris LaMartina as our new Creative Director. Leading Abel’s Creative Services team, Chris will steer the strategy behind compelling creative work—crafting dynamic content across client accounts, bolstering social and digital programs and campaigns.

In previous roles, Chris produced and directed commercials and online video content for major corporations, including Under Armour, Home Depot, Stanley Black & Decker, Legg Mason and Navy Federal Credit Union. Prior to his role at Abel, Chris managed the video team at A. Bright Idea, directing and producing content for national clients such as the United States Drug Enforcement Administration and BASF, as well as regional car dealership Bob Bell Automotive.

Outside of agency work, Chris has produced and directed eight feature-length films, including the cult classic “WNUF Halloween Special,” which was featured in the New York Times and on the National Public Radio program “Here & Now.” Baltimore City Paper named him the “Best Filmmaker” in the annual “Best of Baltimore” issue twice, most recently in 2014. In 2016, AMC Network chose him as one of its inaugural Shudder Labs fellows.

When he’s not riffing on the latest campaign, Chris curates the oddities museum Dr. Gloom’s Crypt of Curiosities, located in Baltimore’s Federal Hill neighborhood. He also teaches broadcast and screenwriting at his alma mater, Towson University, where he received a bachelor’s degree in Electronic Media and Film.

In addition, Chris loves craft cocktails. You should probably make plans with him soon. You can email him at clamartina@abelcommunications.com.
