Niyah Brooks
Van Eperen, an integrated communication agency with offices in Rockville and Baltimore, announces the hiring of Niyah Brooks as an account executive. The marketing communication agency specializes in public relations, marketing, and creative services.
Brooks’ previous experience in roles specializing in traditional public relations and management of creative marketing projects bridges disciplines across the agency. She has supported clients such as the American Bar Association, National Science Teacher Association, Proctor and Gamble, British Standards Institute, Centers for Medicaid and Medicare, IKEA, NFL Apparel, and Netflix in account management roles at agencies and corporations such as Ketchum, FINN Partners, and Hilton Hotels.
“We welcome Niyah into an account executive role as we expand our creative service offerings and require excellent agency communicators like her who thrive in our rapid-paced environment,” said CEO Laura Van Eperen. “Niyah is fast on her feet and a real professional who brings innovative solutions to our government and corporate clients who rely on us as an extension of their marketing communication team.”
In her role as account executive at Van Eperen, Brooks specializes in a cross-functional campaign management approach which aids clients’ desire to become more digitally integrated. She engages with clients on a day-to-day basis, supporting paid and organic social media content management, and the generation of compelling media content with editorial assets such as press releases, bylined articles, and blog copy. She also guides client story telling via video script writing and production.
Brooks earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism and mass communications with a concentration in public relations from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University, where she represented the university’s student population as an ambassador to the Obama Administration and served as a member of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) and community service chair of the National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ). Brooks may live in Washington, D.C., but she calls Maryland her professional new home.
