Jeff Cherry, Executive Director, Conscious Venture Lab:
In today’s interview, Conscious Venture Lab Executive Director, Jeff Cherry, and Weller Development VP of Community Affairs, Marc Broady, join citybizlist’s, Edwin Warfield, to discuss Conscious Venture Lab’s move to Port Covington’s Impact Village. Cherry and Warfield discuss the business accelerator’s goals to develop companies and leaders who, “embrace capitalism as a powerful catalyst for good in society.” This work entails supporting entrepreneurs and business leaders as they build companies with strong purpose at their core. Conscious Venture Lab provides these leaders with the tools and support needed to create an engaged workforce, loyal customers, strong partnerships, improved communities and financial success for all stakeholders.
Broady and Warfield discuss the mission of Impact Village: to empower local organizations and small businesses that are making an impact in Baltimore City by providing complimentary office space, which drastically reduces overhead cost allowing for increased operational capacity. Broady also discusses Port Covington’s Impact Village and its plan to offer vibrant space, constantly buzzing with activity, full of thinkers and doers that aim to improve the city of Baltimore and the lives of its citizens.
Impact Village is open 24 hours per day, seven days per week. Accommodations include free wi-fi, security, mail services, conference rooms and meeting spaces. This innovative hub was built upon the ecosystem that exists at Betamore’s City Garage, located directly across the street from Impact Village, which is creating a place where companies can collaborate for the greater good.
Conscious Venture Lab’s business accelerator was a natural fit for the coworking hub at Impact Village and its mission.
